Word Of Life Ministries is located 400 feet from the mighty South Atlantic Ocean, on the very top of the Continent of South America. This church is wedge smack in the heart of a fierce idolatrous village, it was started and built stone upon stone, by Rev: Desmond & Nandranie Richard who still serve in the humble position as Senior Pastor's. Being stuck in a third world country a place where Many die without achieving the basic necessities of life. Word Of Life had manage to survive every attack against its very existence, today it stand as as testimony that the gates of hell shall not prevail against the church of the Lord Jesus. Our Humble Beginnings
Word Of Life Guyana was birthed from within the four walls of this old animal pen, in similar conditions as our Lord Jesus. The vision of God sprang forth, like a root out of dry ground: as we pen these words today, looking back over those years, we admonish you, not to let the present condition force you out of God's vision for your life.With a mud floor, no running water, no clothes for our children, no food and the only form of transportation being our two feet, our faith in God and our vision for this idolatrous village led us to a level of rejection that was indescribable. We discovered that the trademark of the true calling of God upon one's life is always confirmed by a stamp of total rejection.
But we have learned that standing upon the promises of God's word will steer you past the impossibilities of life, and those that oppose you will some day understand that the God you serve is above every other God. We thank Him for the servant's heart He has placed within us, and for all those he has sent our way to guide us and help us to make His vision possible.
